"A Wildly Inventive Urban Twist on a Classic Tale!Little Red & Vandal Wolf by Izzy Church felt like an absolute joyride through the vibrant streets of NYC! This modern retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood" mixes urban culture, street art, and mischievous characters in a unique and creative way. What I love most about this story is how it seamlessly weaves elements of modern art and urban culture into the narrative. The whole journey feels like a love letter to NYC, from its graffiti walls to street artist legends like Basquiat and Keith Haring, this is not just a tale of a girl and a wolf-it's a celebration of creativity and the vibrant art scene of NYC, making it a delightful read for both young and old alike.Highly recommended for fans of reimagined fairy tales, street art, and those who love a good blend of whimsy and wit. Izzy Church has created something truly special with Little Red & Vandal Wolf."
"Little Red & Vandal Wolf: You're in My Hood Now! is a vibrant and playful reimagining of the classic Little Red Riding Hood tale, set against the dynamic backdrop of New York City’s street art scene. As Little Red travels from Manhattan to Brooklyn to visit her granny, she encounters Vandal Wolf, a graffiti-loving wolf who introduces her to the world of urban art. Filled with colorful illustrations and quirky characters, this modern fairy tale explores creativity, self-expression, and the diverse art forms that shape the city. A perfect read for children and adults alike who appreciate art, adventure, and a fresh twist on a beloved classic."

"A very striking book! Little Red and Vandal Wolf is one of the most unique children’s books that I’ve encountered. The book teaches topics that I haven't seen in children’s books, street art. Before this book, I didn't really pay attention to it aside from “It’s pretty cool,” and walking away. I didn't expect that those street arts would have a much deeper meaning to it. The book teaches all about the fun and the meaning of the street art how it its as an artform and action against many social problems. It uses a creative interpretation on the classic story of Red Riding Hood for it to be more accessible and relatable for children. Overall, a striking book that I highly recommend for children and adults."

The teacher's guide was developed by the author to offer ideas, activities, and to point out unfamiliar terms. Teachers can use the guide to facilitate classroom exploration of the art and for writing a fractured fairytale.

"I absolutely adored the concept of the story. The art style really helps pull you into this hyper-graffitied, street-art world. The wacky scenarios and colorful cast (a rat with a pet pug, a gang of tricycle-riding toddlers, and more equally unique personalities) add an element of surrealism that elevates the concept to something truly unique."
